Australia's First Fleet refers to the fleet consisting of 11 ships under the command of Captain Arthur Phillip, which set sail from England in 1787 under orders to establish a British penal colony in the island nation that is today known as Australia.
Laurie Hadley/rareships of Yahoo Groups' "ShipModelers-Forum" made a model of these ships which photos she posted on the forum.

The voyage began with 1,420 people. There were 22 births, and 69 people died or went missing so only 1373 landed in the new colony.
