Blogs. I have read some writers' blogs, and I'm reluctant to start one of my own. I cannot imagine anyone might be interested in my thoughts and everyday life, though I may change my mind.
I've been working on a compromise—to come up with something that I could be comfortable with.
I'm devoting a section on my website to discussions on "plots and characters" and other writing related issues. Until I have readers and writers emailing me their comments so I can put them up on my webpage in this section, I shall "blog" my comments, most of which will relate to writing issues and my novel. Since I have posted the opening chapter i.e. the sample chapter of my novel on my website, an interested visitor can read it without any fuss, and be able to follow the comments in my "blog"
This way, my "blog" will be about my novel. Hopefully an interested reader will learn a little more about the writing/publishing process, and together we can have an engaging dialogue dissecting my novel's plot and characters.
I've also started a "group" called Plots and Characters in Yahoo/MySpace Groups. If you are interested in joining, email me, and I'll send you an invitation.
